ST. VITUS DANCE (another phrase for epilepsy) is a completely independent venture, conceived by several volunteers from Bucharest who attempt to create a location for those who listen to gothic, industrial, darkwave and other related musical genres.

Their "intention is to create something totally independent, without "sponsors" and "media support", without financial interests." They "just need a simple place, where we could have a good time, where we could be ourselves, with our music, our look and dance, without any compromises--be it financial, commercial, or any other kind of pressures."

It is the "only place in Bucharest where gothic, dark-wave, industrial, batcave, deathrock, electro, EBM, experimental, neo-folk, post-punk, punk-rock (old school) and eighties can be heard."

The first Wednesday of the month: LONG LIVE THE NEW FLESH DJ Mutu slams out gothic rock, deathrock, batcave, darkwave, punk, post-punk, psychobilly and gothabilly.
