Phlegmatic Dog was opened by an Englishman who moved to Moscow in the middle of 90’s. It features perhaps the best techno parties in Moscow on Thursdays, organized by famous Moscow DJ Kubikoff. The club has a host of fine DJ’s, with house and techno music every night, and internet access.

Standard american-style place, good if you want to meet a new friend. On Tuesdays they have lLatino-American dances; Wednesdays are Ladys’ Nights. The people who visit the place are expats, tourists, and those who like latin dances.

Back in the 90’s, some people considered Hungry Duck to be one of the craziest places on earth. It was closed by government officials for four weeks in March, 1999, because of the decadent activities. Though the management has changed, the decadence has pretty much continued unabated.

Nowadays things are not as gloriously mad, but the place is still full of different kinds of people, including many expats and many Russian girls--it has "Ladies Nights" on Friday, Sunday, and Tuesday; but here that usually consists of letting the girls in, giving them free drinks for two hours, and then when they're finally primed letting in the men.

It's quite usual to see naked drunk girls dancing on the bar top there and people literally screwing in the WCs, so you're officially warned.
