The sign just inside the entrance couldn't be more clear:

In what is perhaps a true sign of American times, Remote Lounge, one of the city's most novel and certainly most technology-driven nightlife environments, works like this: Consoles throughout the space include monitors and 60 remote-controlled cameras that can be manipulated by joysticks. Additional controls provide the ability to contact people at other consoles and talk to them on handsets while viewing them on your monitor--a feature that is wildly popular and results in the occasional exhibitionist display, all framed in the confines of the Lounge's futuristic interior, and bathed in a dancing blue phosphorous glow.

But careful, children: what's on a given monitor may also appear temporarily on any of the 30 or so TV screens directly over the bar. And you should also know: the "photo" button instantly uploads the image on the screen to the club's website for all to see, to your eternal glory or shame.

One excited fan wrote on 01/06/2005: "Me and my girlfriend and her sis went [there]. It was really fun i am like a peeping tammy so it was right up my alley i enjoyed my self and so did they we caught some interesting things..."

How many times have we seen clubs advertise a "Grand Opening" of venues that have been open for months, and sometimes for years. But Temple just opened in January, 2005. It was formerly known as ‘Float’, which closed for 10 months in February, 2004 for a complete overhaul and renovation of space.

Now completely re-done as Temple Nightclub, the result is a spectacular nightlife experience.

There are 3 levels, each having a completely different feel. On the main floor, DJ Hollywood spins a mix of Hip-Hop, R&B and Reggae rhythms, wonderfully accompanied by go-go dancers and live percussion. In the 2nd Floor the electrifying DJ Merritt spins house music.

This party is at a spankin' new venue which opened the Summer of 2004. Formerly known as ‘Metronome’, this nightclub was completely renovated with a new sound system, lighting and interior design to create a truly wild experience.

Strata features 4 bars and 4 rooms, including 2 large dance floors with 2 different types of music: DJ Ody Rock is on the main floor spinning hip-hop, R&B and reggae, while DJ Hollywood is in the VIP room playing house & 80's music

On top of this, the DJ's are accompanied by a live percussionist and go-go dancers on the main floor to get things swinging.

Strata also has a fabulous VIP section with banquettes overlooking the main room, and a gorgeous crowd each and every Saturday night. It has a capacity of 1,000, but somehow maintains a special, intimate feel.
