I can not name all of the places to go, if you are coming out to Cali though you need to do your homework if you want to enjoy some of our fine blond beach bunnies. Though I enjoy Los Angeles, it is going to have the highest "poser" factor among the nightlife crowd. A great tourist location by any standards, it is very spread out and that makes bar-hopping a bit difficult. My favorite California spots are San Francisco and San Diego for completely different reasons; women and women.

The City
When you live in San Fransisco, residents call it "The City", not "San Fran" or "Frisco" (no one ever calls it Frisco). It is called The City because life is very city style. Like any major city, people come there in droves making the city full of "non-natives"; this makes for a very racially open-minded and culturally charged environment, offering diverse foods and a sundry musical selection.
If you are feeling spontaneous, go to the foot of Market Street to the ferry building and take a ferry over to Tiburon in Marin County. Your ferry will pass the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Angel Island and Sausalito. You will land in a quaint little town with kickass little restaurants that sit on the waterfront and have a view of the cityscape. They even serve booze on the boat, in both directions.
The nightlife is as electric as the daytime with audio/visual treats like sitting under the Bay Bridge on the Embarcaderos listening to the traffic while drinking a "Scratch Margarita" and sharing "Vicenza`s Crusts" at the Palomino Restaurant.
Girls, girls, girls - yeah I know, you want to know where the action is. The action (best) during the day is in the Fillmore District - this includes Fillmore Street around where it hits California Street. This area offers mass shopping appeal to the heavy "singles" population in the area.
If you stand on the corner of Sacramento & Fillmore you will lose count how many girls walk by in 2 minutes. The gals in The City are savvy so don`t try to by coy or clever. City girls are direct and appreciate the same. The numbers in SF are roughly 3 girls to every guy, so girls don`t want to be "courted" they want to go out and party and have sex.
Boston is the only other city where I have had higher numbers in the sexual conquest department; there are just too many* women in these cities.

San Francisco is one of the best American cities to show up an unknown and have a great chance of meeting someone that day or that night. Follow the crowd. At night, take a cab to North Beach, you will find crowds of girls walking around and many standing in line at various bars that offer dancing. Ask a local, I always do. The local gals will be glad to tell you where to go because they want more men showing up at their watering hole.
But remember, this is San Francisco. Don`t drink too much and take a wrong turn and stumble into the wrong bar... Gay players love heavily intoxicated straight guys that are lost and need a ride home.
El Gusto Es Mio
That is Spanish for "The pleasure is mine". When you go to San Diego it will be your pleasure for sure! Just north of the Mexico border this Kickass town offers sports, killer weather, and girls out the yin yang!
As much as San Fransisco is great for city style play, San Diego is more casual and less hyped. It has some of that same "transient" factor of SF because many people are from other places, but SD calm, warm and collected. The weather year round is so comfortable make sure you pack your best Tommy Bahama shirt.
You can rent a wave runner or jet ski and zoom past the massive naval ships parked in the harbor or take a bike ride down the "silver strand" and find a secluded beach spot to escape to with your lover. The Gas Lamp district is connected to the convention center, the water and the new Padres ball park.
San Diego is very dog friendly as well, both the Marriot and the Omni hotels allow dogs and the Omni is actually "physically" connected to the ball park. Think about it you love sports, you love dogs and you love yourself, this is the place.
LETS GET READY TO PARTY - the Gas Lamp area is all very close together, the shopping, restaurants and bars. This is the place "daddy" goes to get laid when he wants to party out of town. A typical night is me staying on a high floor of the Marriot with a view, taking a "bike taxi" to Blue Point Grill.
Here I will have some food, and sit at the tiny bar and drink a couple of killer martinis. Then I will stroll out the front door to start my "dance tour" of the many places in walking distance. I will end up at the Bitter End, a 3 level - multi music venue that offers young girls and cougars! I have a 75% close ratio in this bar even if I am drunk! That is because when a woman is drunk and dancing, guys from "out of town" are Mr. Perfect.
So if you`re planning a vacation based on you getting laid, I highly recommend avoiding Europe and coming to Golden State for some golden pussy instead. The Left Coast is the place to play for a week or just a day. Everyone is welcome, I should know, I came here from Ohio.
